SWBAT: Use an existing logo to personalize your name TODAY: We've talked about companies and how they communicate their brand through billboards, posters and by using their logo. Google, McDonalds, and MSU all have great examples of simple logos that stand out. You are going to take an existing logo and add your name to it to make it your own. Click here for Examples of famous logos. We will continue to work on and complete a google doodle with the idea:
If I Could Invent One Thing to Make the World a Better Place... With about 10 minutes left in class, we are going to vote on the best in the class. Remember that if you want to submit your picture for the contest, you will have to fill out the information at the bottom of the form. Its simplicity makes it recognizable around the world. On special events, google will change their homepage to imitate historic events or to recognize famous people. Please check out this page of recent google illustrations. Please comment on this message and tell me your favorite google doodle. Today, you will be competing in a google doodle battle. Before we begin, we are going to brainstorm together. Last year, google came up with a contest called Doodle 4 Google where students had to design a google doodle based on the theme “If I Could Invent One Thing to Make the World a Better Place...” You can see the winners and runners-up from the previous contest here. You can actually submit your picture to the nation-wide contest. You must draw in pencil to begin. Use the template to help, but do not feel like the google has to be the same on your final draft. At the end of the day, I will upload them to the current rosintech work page and we will be voting tomorrow on the google doodle winner! First, a quick review of logos and brands: |
